Out of Place, Waterloo
Out of Place, Waterloo
Out of Place, Waterloo
The artwork was created over two days. The first day was spent capturing the magnificent ancient Oak in Richmond Park, and the second day was dedicated to drawing people at the bustling Waterloo station—those searching for train times, waiting for the platform to be announced, and continuing their rush onwards. These two very different atmospheres come together to create an entirely imagined and unique sense of place and time. The unexpected combination prompts contemplation about our relationship with nature in a fast-paced world. The artwork symbolises the resilience of nature amidst the transient nature of our lives, challenging our perceptions and inviting us to reconsider the harmony between the natural and man-made worlds.
