Out of Place - South Bank, London
The artwork was created over two days. The first day was spent capturing the magnificent Crowhurst Yew, set within the grounds of St.George’s churchyard in Surrey, and the second day was dedicated to drawing the bustling atmosphere of London’s Southbank capturing the endless queue onto the London Eye. These two very different atmospheres come together to create an entirely imagined and unique sense of place and time. The unexpected combination prompts contemplation about our relationship with nature in a fast-paced world. The artwork symbolises the resilience of nature amidst the transient nature of our lives, challenging our perceptions and inviting us to reconsider the harmony between the natural and man-made worlds.
